In creation with Yin and Yang, the world balances itself between the five Japanese Elements: Void, Earth, Fire, Wind and Water, dividing itself into the five seperate Realms in which we see today. Feeling a need for order, Yin and Yang stationed Masters of the Elements, one for each Realm.
Each Master creates order in their Realm, ruling over it, and protecting it from outsiders. The Masters work together to create perfect balance and order in the Realms between their Elements, so that no dark cosmic energy will disrupt the perfect balance and harmony in their world.
At their last meeting, the Masters had decided to take young magicial folks into their Realms, to train, and to live in peace, like houses within a boarding school, after they find themselves lost in the Dark Forest.
